Sockliners
are removed. |
|
Toplifts
are removed. |
|
Out soles
are carefully removed from the upper. |
|
Where applicable,old stitches
are completely removed from the insoles or welts if necessary. Upper is
roughened for proper adhesion. |
|
Filler is
replaced where applicable. |
|
Half
sole joints are carefully skived to match the replacement sole so that
the finished sole blends smoothly with no lumps or high spots. New
soles
are placed far enough back in the shank so that the joint does not
break
loose. This holds true even for the newer longer lasted high fashion
shoes
such as Manolo Blahnik and others. |
|
New soles
of the proper thickness are applied and trimmed. Round or square edges
are used appropriately. |
|
We use an
industrial splitter to exactly match the thickness of the original sole. |
|
Heel bases
and toplifts are replaced, leveled, and sanded three times for proper
angles
and a glasslike finish. |
|
After edge
finishing, soles are sanded twice before finishing. |
|
Soles are
hand waxed with a neutral wax – no artificial stains or colors are
used.
If appropriate, soles can also be finished in black or brown to match
original
factory color as in some Ferrogamos and Pradas or left sueded such as
are
Manolo Blahniks or Jimmy Choos. We can even duplicate certain colors of
bottom finish such as the famous red soles found on Christian Louboutin
shoes.

|
Shoes are
completely shined by hand and the sock liners are then put back
into
the shoe or replaced if necessary. |
